How Food Banking Works

food drives, growers, state, regional and industry sources.

3. United Food Bank provides a shopping list of available products
to all member agencies
4. Each member agency creates its own food order
5. We package each individual order
6. United Food Bank has over 220 local member agencies that pick
up their food orders at the food bank
7. We deliver to over 15 agencies in outlying areas
8. The member agencies maintain their own food pantries or on-site
feeding programs.
9. They distribute the groceries or prepared meals through shelters,
soup kitchens & other feeding programs to individuals and families
in their service area.
